Oculus 2.5.5

How To Change Your Image

Oculus allows you considerable flexibility on how you present your WebCam picture. You can change the size of your WebCam picture by resizing the preview window using the grow box. If you want to stretch your picture, hold down the option key while dragging. If you want to make your picture a standard size, hold the shift key while dragging and the picture will snap to 1/4, 1/2, full and double size.

You can also change the size of your picture by using the Document dialog and selecting a standard size or by typing in the width and height that you want.

By using the Photo dialog, you can rotate or flip your picture. You can also change the compression settings for your picture, although the default settings are adequate for most WebCams. If you decide to change the compression settings to use a different image compressor, make sure that your destination file has the appropriate filename extension or else your visitor's web browsers will not be able to display your WebCam picture correctly. For example: use .jpg for a Photo-JPEG file, use .bmp for a BMP file.

By using the Video Input dialog, you can adjust the brightness, contrast, and hue of your picture. You can also change the video input standards (NTSC, SECAM, PAL) or choose a different input device, if you have more than one connected to your computer.

You can change your image in some new and strange ways using a filter on your WebCam image. In the Photo dialog, there is a Filter that can be set. This allows you to apply a QuickTime filter to your WebCam image such as Embossing, Color Tint, and Blurring.
